Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. Cooling & Heating Division (Mitsubishi Electric), America's No. 1 selling brand of ductless cooling and heating systems, announced its headquarters in Suwanee, Georgia, has earned two Green Globes from the Green Building Initiative (GBI). The Green Globes certification demonstrates "excellent progress in the reduction of environmental impacts and use of environmental efficiency practices."
"We are proud to achieve Green Globes certification for our Suwanee office," said Gary Nettinger, director, OEM solutions & applications, Mitsubishi Electric US, Inc. Cooling & Heating Division. "This accomplishment illustrates our significant commitment to sustainability and efficiency when approaching the design and construction of our facility."
The Mitsubishi Electric offices are equipped with the manufacturer's ownVRF zoning systems, which contributed to its high ratings in the Energy and Indoor Environment assessment areas.
Mitsubishi Electric's headquarters, opened in 2013, was designed by Macgregor Associates Architects, Atlanta, and built by Industrial Developments International (IDI), Atlanta, with the Green Globes assessment and rating system in mind.
