A.J. Perri, which serves the HVAC needs of Monmouth County, N.J., holds an annual A.J. Perri Cares Program that provides a veteran or municipal first responder with a free heating and cooling system. The 325-employee company then calls on community members to select the winning recipient from applicants who shared their stories.
The community selected a young military family whose historic home had no HVAC system or ductwork. A.J. Perri collaborated with Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US (METUS) to upgrade the family’s home with a new heating and cooling solution.
Companies collaborate because they care
METUS is well-known for its expertise with ductless heat pumps. An MXZ-C multi-zone, ductless mini-split was chosen for the project and donated to the A.J. Perri team as part of METUS’ Community Awareness Reward Enablement System (C.A.R.E.S.) program. The METUS C.A.R.E.S. program is designed to support contractors' community outreach efforts in their local markets.
This was the first time A.J. Perri and METUS worked together on the METUS C.A.R.E.S. program. However, since that time, A.J. Perri became an Elite Diamond Contractor®, has completed 160 installations, and plans to install many more.
Today, the winning home is outfitted with a Mitsubishi Electric heat pump that provides 100% heating capacity down to -5◦ F and guaranteed operation down to 13◦ F – keeping its owners comfortable during chilly winter weather.
